CareerXcell & IJN: Towards Global Centre of Excellence

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 SEPTEMBER 2013  - CareerXcell recently conducted the first of Institut Jantung Negara's 10 day workshop series with the first batch of its senior managers.The whole program is expected to be completed by 24 February 2014 with a total of 68 participants altogether.

The senior managers  being the “pillars” to IJN plays an important role in sustaining IJN’s quest for excellence, therefore, the 10 day workshop has been organized  to enhance their capability to steer the department to greater heights for growth. Programs included exclusively for National Heart Institute of Malaysia’s trainings are Embracing Performance Culture, The Winning Team, Business Writing-Effective Communication, Budgeting for Financial Discipline, and Self-Management: Time & Stress.The middle managers is also scheduled to undergo a similar program. 

About Institut Jantung Negara

Abbreviated as IJN, also known as National Heart Institute, it is Malaysia’s premier heart centre. Established in September 1992, IJN provides cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery services for both adult and paediatric cases.

Today IJN provides a full range of cardiac services. The institute also houses a number of associated cardiac treatment clinics. The institute is staffed by an experienced and committed team of specialist cardiologist, surgeons, anaesthesiologists, paramedics and clinical support staff. The medical staff are fully supported by the modern technology allowing IJN to treat the most complicated cases.

The senior managers  being the “pillars” to IJN plays an important role in sustaining IJN’s quest for excellence. Consequently a 10 man-day workshop has been organized  to enhance their capability to steer the department to greater heights for growth. To put on a level playing field  specially crafted programs has been designed which includes Embracing Performance Culture, The Winning Team, Business Writing-Effective Communication, Budgeting for Financial Discipline, and Self-Management: Time & Stress. Supporting the senior managers are the middle managers. They are the man on the ground  responsible for building the “Pipe line for excellence”, will also undergo a similar program
